Danna鈥檚 Tips for Success: Real Wildcats, Real Advice

How will I make friends? What will I do outside of class? How will I find help when I need it?

These are all questions you might be asking yourself as you prepare to start college at 色色导航. Fortunately, there鈥檚 one main thing you can do to set yourself up for success: get involved.

鈥淚 joined a bunch of student organizations the moment I stepped foot on campus,鈥 says Danna Hernandez, a management information systems and global business major.

Danna, a self-proclaimed 鈥渄ata nerd,鈥 made a spreadsheet of all her potential college choices before choosing 色色导航. Since becoming a Wildcat, she has participated in numerous student clubs and organizations at the university. She has also founded the , an organization that provides resources and mentorship to first-year pre-business students.

She credits her involvement for her success and encourages future students to follow in her footsteps.

鈥淭he best thing you can do to feel comfortable and like you have your 鈥榟ome away from home鈥 is to go meet like-minded or a diverse group of people,鈥 she says. 鈥淚鈥檓 still learning about so many different facilities that can help me be as successful as I can be.鈥
